WHEN ISLAMISTS ARE SEEN TO BE RULING BULL-LEH-LAND BY PROXY.

URFeG has not learned much from its shock electoral defeat of 80308. This defeat has been in no small part contributed by Islamists who angered non Muslims and moderate Muslims when the former insidiously maneuvered to change our way of life.
Witness their attacks on the family structure through their body snatching antics and the destruction of our Asian family values when innocent children were torn from their biological parents. Witness their attack on our religious freedom through the demand on the exclusive use of the word “Allah” and their involvement in the destruction of places of worship of other faiths.
Today they have up the ante by calling for commercial decisions to be subservient to their concept of morality.
The Warong kopi says “If URFeG succumbs to these Islamists at the commercial level, Malaysia will not even be numbered at 16 out of the top 25 world destination for FDIs within 2 years.

The globalized world does not owe the rakyat a living. This is even more so when Islamists are seen to be ruling bull-leh-land by proxy"

Celcom Bhd will be asked to scrap its “Celcom 100 Days, 100 Cars” promotion if it is confirmed that elements of gambling are involved, said Energy, Water and Communications Minister Datuk Shaziman Abu Mansor.
He said the Islamic Development Department’s (Jakim) views were being sought on the matter
and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission would also meet on the issue
“We need to ascertain whether the contest is permissible under law, and if it is not just a tactic to cheat the people.
“Let the Commission hold its meeting, and if it is found that the contest is suitable then it can be continued. Otherwise, it has to cease,” he told reporters after visiting the Bandar Baru Bangi post office yesterday to check on cash rebates being paid to motorists.

THE JAR OF PANDORA HAS BEEN OPENED.

The Warong kopi asks “If the UMNO Run Federal Government (URFeG) decreases the pump price of gas below the current level of RM2.70 per liter, can it ensure that the plate of koay teow that now cost me RM3.50 rolls back to RM3.20?
The jar of Pandora has been opened. What remains within this jar is not hope but more "future financial and political shocks" for both the rakyat and URFeG.

There will be no further fuel price hikes this year -- that is the government's promise.
The price of petrol will be retained at RM2.70 per litre and diesel at RM2.58 per litre, despite the higher world price of crude oil.
Pump prices could even go below current rates if the world price drops.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said the government was sensitive to the plight of the people who would face difficulties in adjusting to higher pump prices.

WHEN THE EMOTION OF ANGER OVERTAKES THE RATIONALITY OF MIND.

The Warong kopi has a friend who works with some 750 employees in a semi urban setting. 700 are Malays and about 450 have a net “take home” income of RM800. Many are married with 4 or 5 mouths to feed. Their primary mode of transport is by motor cycles and some take a daily two way journey of over 80 kilometers to “cari rezeki”.
With the unconscionable increase in the price of fuel many have expressed a real concern on their ability to make ends meet on a daily basis. Simply put they are restless and are angry that URFeG has been indifferent to their daily struggles.
The Warong kopi fears the day when the emotion of anger overtakes the rationality of mind.

Thai motorists started coming over the border yesterday to buy petrol and diesel.
Although Malaysia has reduced the subsidy, fuel is still cheaper in the country than it is in Thailand.
Suriani Sulaiman, a trader, said she was glad that the Malaysian government had lifted the ban."This shows that the Malaysian government, especially the prime minister, is concerned about us Thai people.
"We have no other need from the government except to allow us to buy fuel here," said the 38-year-old woman from Waeng.Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said the new prices were still at a 30-sen per litre discount from market prices.
