WHEN THE EMOTION OF ANGER OVERTAKES THE RATIONALITY OF MIND.

The Warong kopi has a friend who works with some 750 employees in a semi urban setting. 700 are Malays and about 450 have a net “take home” income of RM800. Many are married with 4 or 5 mouths to feed. Their primary mode of transport is by motor cycles and some take a daily two way journey of over 80 kilometers to “cari rezeki”.
With the unconscionable increase in the price of fuel many have expressed a real concern on their ability to make ends meet on a daily basis. Simply put they are restless and are angry that URFeG has been indifferent to their daily struggles.
The Warong kopi fears the day when the emotion of anger overtakes the rationality of mind.

Thai motorists started coming over the border yesterday to buy petrol and diesel.
Although Malaysia has reduced the subsidy, fuel is still cheaper in the country than it is in Thailand.
Suriani Sulaiman, a trader, said she was glad that the Malaysian government had lifted the ban."This shows that the Malaysian government, especially the prime minister, is concerned about us Thai people.
"We have no other need from the government except to allow us to buy fuel here," said the 38-year-old woman from Waeng.Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said the new prices were still at a 30-sen per litre discount from market prices.
