"THE DIRECT AND INDIRECT METHOD OF ............."

Everybody says this.
Many senior ranking police have sold their freedom of conscience.
And because of their blatant sell out, the people will witness the continuation of this 1st wave of tactical aggressive arrest AND the relatively quick release of detainees.
The 2nd wave may be very much different.

Nineteen people, including an MP and seven Perak assemblyman, were arrested over a planned hunger strike they organised in Wisma DAP near Jalan Istana here.
The seven assemblymen are former state assembly speaker V.Sivakumar (Tronoh) , Leong Mee Meng (Jalong), Chan Ming Kai, (Simpang Pulai) Thomas Su (Pasir Pinji), Keshvinder Singh (Malim Nawar), Lim Pek Har (Menglembu), Chang Leh Kang (Teja) and Ipoh Barat MP M. Kulasegaran.
The remaining 12 people arrested are DAP workers and staff members of an events management company hired to organise the event which was a call for the dissolution of the state assemby.

And whilst the popularity index of the police plunges, that same index for the Umno Run Federal Government (URFeG) moves up. URFeG soft selling of Najib to the populace has borne fruits. He is portrayed by their spin masters as the PM who empathizes with the common people as he oils his speech with ..... “I want to be the people’s Prime Minister. I am with the people and I will always be with them”
Each day, a little bit more Malaysians are convinced that he is Malaysia's hope .

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has voiced his preference to forgo formalities and instead be on the ground to understand the reality and needs of the people. “I want to be the people’s Prime Minister. I am with the people and I will always be with them.

In chapter 5 of “The Art of War” Sun Tzu wrote,
In all fighting, the direct method may be used for joining battle, but indirect methods will be needed in order to secure victory.
The “oneness” that once binds Pakatan Rakyat with the people is slowly being pried open by the this two pronged "pincer" attack.
The by-election in N12 Penanti will bear witness to that.
