BACK OFF AND EARN THE RESPECT OF THE RAKYAT.

There are far more important things that can better the rakyat aspiration then that of street renaming.
The Perak DAP says " more than 70% of Jalan Silibin folk agree with the proposal to rename the road". So does that mean that it is all right to disregard the minority 30%?.
And if statistic is used as the yardstick to gauge the agreement on the renaming of Jalan Sibilin, Oceanbiru is certain that the Umno Run Federal Government (URFeG) can conjure up a better than 90% agreement on the same issue.
Statistics are like some URFeG ministers, they mislead and sometimes if it needs be, they do not tell the whole truth.

The DAP should instead concentrate on what is important - building a broad political base and goodwill amongst the races. They cannot afford to be blinded by the power that has been handled to them.
Winning today small battle and losing 2013 war is definitely not a good trade off.
The war for real reform like the Iraqi war has not ended.
Back off and earn the respect of the rakyat.
More importantly don't be an idea idiot.

DAP state representatives have produced a street survey revealing that more than 70% of Jalan Silibin folk agree with the proposal to rename the road after former Perak DAP chairman P. Patto.
Ipoh Barat MP and local councillor M. Kulasegaran said yesterday that the survey was conducted over three days following protests by certain quarters over the proposal.
He said of the 74 respondents interviewed, 55 supported the idea while 12 disagreed and seven were neutral.
“We made sure we got the views of a multiracial group of people so that all races were represented,” he said. The survey, conducted by Kulasegaran, Buntong assemblyman A. Sivasubramaniam and several local councillors, focused on business owners and residents along Jalan Silibin

ANOTHER gOD IS INSTALLED IN THE TEMPLE OF UMNO'S POLITICAL DIVINE.

Abdullah Badawi post retirement plan includes that of a stand up comedian. He says "It is possible for anyone from a minority group to be a nation’s leader".
UMNO runs negara ku and openly espouses radical right wing White Aryan Malay Supremacy ideology. It's minority allies sits mum in fear, not willing to jeopardized their status and position.
As long as UMNO continues to milk political mileage over White Aryan Malay Supremacy, no Barak-lingam, Hussein-dompok or Oh-Bak-Ma can democratically rise up and lead Negara ku.

It will be a fire that will burn out of control.
It is possible for anyone from a minority group to be a nation’s leader, even in Malaysia, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi.
“It is up to the people to decide, just as the Americans had done through the democratic process,” he said while extending his congratulations to Senator Barack Obama.
Reporters had asked him in the Parliament lobby yesterday if it were possible for a person from a minority group to become Prime Minister in Malaysia.

Welcome home RPK.

It looks like a triple win-win-win situation for all.

  • The judiciary seems to be courageous.
  • URFeG looks good as RPKs release has the implication that the Executive does not unduly influence the judiciary.
  • The rakyat real representative gets his freedom.
Perhaps his release indicates that he is no longer a viable threat to the political ambition of the wannabe PM. The latter clinched his 133rd nomination last Sunday. In passing the 133 mark, Najib has denied any interested candidate the possibility of contesting because the person would not be able to secure the required 58 nominations.
Another god is born and installed in the temple of UMNO's political-divine.

  • Raja Petra Raja Kamarudin, editor of popular news portal Malaysia Today, was freed after the High Court here allowed his application for a writ of habeas corpus seeking his release.
  • High Court judge Justice Syed Ahmad Helmy Syed Ahmad found his two-year detention order under the Internal Security Act unlawful.

TOUGH DECISIONS BUT THE RIGHT ONES.

Everyone in the warong kopi salutes the Selangor Government for standing on principles which are based on the rule of the law and common courtesy.
Tough decisions but the right ones.
Incidentally, the UMNO run federal government (URFeG) would have also made the same decisions BUT it would have been based upon a White Supremacy Malay Supremacy first and Malaysia negara-ku last.

The Selangor Government recently issued a stop-work order on the building of a Hindu temple atop Bukit Gasing in Petaling Jaya.
State Health, Plantation Workers, Poverty and Compassionate Govern- ment Committee chairman Dr Xavier Jayakumar, who disclosed this, said the notice issued by the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) calling for an immediate stop to construction work was made as no approval had been given.
The state government had also received letters from Selangor resi- dents who gave their views on the temple’s construction, he told reporters after the state Executive Council (Exco) meeting here.
Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor will remain as chancellor of state-owned Universiti Industri Selangor (Unisel), said Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim.
He said it was because Unisel’s board of governors had made the decision to appoint Rosmah as the chancellor and the state government has no intention to go against the board.
Asked if Rosmah would be removed if the board decided to do so, Khalid said the state government would look into the matter when it was raised by the board.
Earlier, Pakatan Rakyat’s Youth wings held a protest at the state secretariat building here at 2.30pm yesterday calling for Rosmah’s removal.

He has surfaced from hiding and is rushing to maintain his pole position in calling for White Supremacy Malay Supremacy.
Perhaps he hopes that everyone has forgotten that he was one of the major reasons who cost UMNO and it's grovelling allies dearly with his "this is my keris talk".
Outgoing Umno Youth chief Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein has criticised Datuk Zaid Ibrahim for making “irresponsible remarks” on ketuanan Melayu (Malay supremacy).
“His statements are irresponsible, uncalled for and they contradict his position when he was in the Government,” said Hishammuddin yesterday

NOTHING LEFT BUT SHAME.

Tan Lian Hoe's boss hides behind her skirt, kisses the butt of UMNO and leaves her to be skewed by UMNO's racists.

Wanita Gerakan chief Datuk Tan Lian Hoe today clarified that she had neither in sulted the Malays nor questioned their rights in a speech on Oct 10. She said the speech had been misconstrued.
The deputy minister of information told a news conference at the party’s national headquarters that Gerakan president Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon had clarified the matter at a meeting of the Barisan Nasional (BN) supreme council meeting on Oct 16. She said she had also met Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak last week to explain the matter.
Interestingly, she had in the 10th of October speech ominously prophesied Gerakan's and by proxy, her own political fate ......
"We are regarded as being weak and not having lived up to our role in making changes within the coalition because we are under the thumb of Umno and are being manipulated by Umno leaders and members. We continue to be stepped on, humiliated by our friends in the BN and this is the partnership we talk about in BN......... there were still leaders and members within the BN who were thumping their chest with pride and playing the race card and ever-present Malay supremacy issue."
It is time for Tan Lian Hoe to walk away and be true to herself.
In Gerakan, there is nothing left but shame.
